In our many years in the collision repair business, we are fully equipped to repair your damaged vehicle. At Custom Body Co., properly repairing today's ever-changing and complex vehicles is a challenging standard and a process we can do for you. We are equally equipped with the knowledge and experience to assist you with your complex insurance claims process. Our staff will assist and guide you through the repair process and will keep you updated in a timely manner.

Collision Repair:

You have the right to have your vehicle repaired at a facility of your choosing.

Contact your insurance company and report a claim. Be prepared to discuss the details of the accident with the claims adjuster. Gather information from the other party as well, it will help move your claims info along quicker.

If you are having the repairs done through your insurance company, the collision repair process starts with the claim being made. You will be given a claim number which we will need to communicate with the insurance company that will be responsible for paying for the repairs.

Contact us with the claim information.

We will work with your schedule to inspect the vehicle and prepare an initial repair estimate. ( No appointment necessary ) If the vehicle is not safe to drive we will arrange for towing to our facility.

Once the initial inspection is completed, we will set up a repair appointment to begin the repairs on your vehicle. Parts are ordered before your scheduled arrival day.

When the vehicle is dropped off for repairs you will be asked to sign a repair authorization. Insurance companies will pay for the repair but cannot authorize it for you. It also allows us to communicate directly to insurance companies for payment on your behalf.

Often times there are unknown damages that surface once the repairs are underway. We will obtain approval for the supplemental repair cost from the insurance company. You will be kept informed of the repairs throughout the process.

If you are responsible for payment of the repair, you will be notified before we go forward with any repairs. When the repair is complete you will be notified of when to pick up the vehicle.

Towing:

If your vehicle needs to be towed, our staff will gladly assist you. If you are making an insurance claim, the tow charges are generally billed to the insurance company.

Rental Car:

We work closely with Enterprise and Hertz rental car companies. We will be happy to assist in arranging your rental prior to your arrival. Many insurance policies include some rental coverage for collision repair claims. Check your policy or with your agent before making arrangements for a rental car.
